While reviewing petitions connected to the 'Global Ayyappa Sangamam', the Kerala High Court flagged serious 'systemic deficiencies' in how the Travancore Devaswom Board manages its vast public donations and expenditures. The Court noted that archaic ledger systems leave significant room for financial leakages and audit discrepancies.

To secure the massive wealth contributed by devotees, the Bench ordered the Board to immediately transition to a fully centralized, digital financial management system. This system must be capable of generating real-time audit trails for every temple under the Board's jurisdiction, ensuring absolute transparency.
