The Telangana High Court has provided temporary relief to Congress leader Pawan Khera by granting him a one-week transit anticipatory bail. The order protects him from immediate arrest by the Assam Police, who had registered an FIR against him over alleged defamatory remarks.

The Court clarified that the transit bail is strictly intended to afford Khera the opportunity to travel and physically present his case for regular anticipatory bail before the jurisdictional court in Assam within the stipulated seven-day period.
